Balve. It is with great anticipation that the city of Balve announces this year's city cycling event, which will take place from May 20 to June 9, 2024. This popular initiative motivates citizens to leave their cars at home and use their bikes instead. The aim is to make an active contribution to climate protection and raise awareness of sustainable mobility.

It will be possible to register for city cycling from April. The town of Balve cordially invites all residents to take part and cycle as many kilometers as possible. Participation is open to both individuals and teams, with a particular focus on community spirit and the promotion of healthy, environmentally friendly methods of transportation.

New this year: city cycling jerseys

A special innovation is the introduction of the city cycling jersey. Participants can purchase a jersey for 30.00 euros to show their support for the campaign. On the initiative of a committed city cyclist from Balve, it is also possible to personalize the jersey for an additional charge of 5 euros. Sample jerseys can be viewed in the town center office of the town of Balve.

The Balve-based company "fünfachtachtnullzwei" has been secured as a district-wide city cycling jersey partner.

Only this year there is a special recognition for loyal city cyclists for the introduction of the city cycling jerseys. Teams that have been taking part in city cycling for at least one year and have covered a total of at least 100 km will receive a free city cycling jersey with the team name for their team captain. After the registration in April, the team of the city center office of the city of Balve will contact the team captains to order the city cycling team jerseys so that they are ready in time for the start of the city cycling on May 20, 2024.
