You will also find other e-mail addresses of individual departments or persons on our website. These e-mail addresses are not official mail inboxes and do not constitute legally binding access. Please only use these addresses for e-mails relating to simple "day-to-day business", which do not (or should not) entail any legal obligations or legal consequences.
If you wish to use this method to arrange appointments or make simple, perhaps even time-bound declarations, we recommend that you ask for confirmation of receipt.

Permitted file formats for file attachments
If you would like to send e-mails with file attachments to the administration, please note that the administration cannot support all file formats and applications available on the market.

The following file formats are processed in Balve:

• Text (txt)
• Image files (jpg, tif, bmp, png)
• Compressed files (zip only)

in each case without macros (this list is constantly updated).

The following applies to all other formats: Your declaration is not legally received and is not legally binding.
If you use different file formats, the e-mail may not be processed.

Size limit for e-mails
The size of acceptable e-mails is limited to 10 Mbyte. Please use compression programs (zip format only) to reduce the size of any attachments so that data can be transferred quickly and efficiently.

Feedback for e-mails that cannot be processed here
If an e-mail cannot be processed, you will be informed by the recipient as far as possible. This can be caused by computer viruses, general technical problems or deviations from the above technical conditions, for example.

No support for signatures
In accordance with Section 3a of the NRW Administrative Procedure Act, a written form prescribed by law can in many cases be replaced by the so-called "electronic form".

Unfortunately, the City of Balve is not yet able to check electronic signatures for authenticity and validity. This means that you cannot send documents that are subject to a written form requirement in electronic form. We therefore ask you to use paper-based communication in these cases until further notice.

Acceptance of encrypted electronic mail

The town of Balve can also be contacted by De-Mail. The central mailbox is:

De-Mail enables verifiable and confidential electronic communication. In concrete terms, this means that nobody can hide behind a false identity, as only users with a verified identity can send and receive De-Mail. The background to this is that every user must identify themselves to the provider of their choice to open their De-Mail account, which can later only be used by them.

A major advantage of De-Mail is the legally secured delivery: the sending, receipt and content of De-Mails can be legally proven at any time.
