Those who always reach for the easiest thing without thinking end up empty-handed: children can experience this at the first cabaret event of the year on Monday, March 4, based on the Grimm fairy tale "Hans im Glück". Tom Teuer and his one-man children's theater will perform the play on stage in the children's room at 4 p.m. Participation is free and delicious waffles are also available in the reading café. Hans has served his master for seven years and earned himself a lump of gold. On the way home, the weight of the gold weighs heavily, and seemingly well-meaning people trick Hans out of his gold on the way, then his horse, his cow... in the end Hans is empty-handed, but still overjoyed. The one-man ensemble Tom Teuer stages this fairy tale as great fun. He puts on around 120 performances a year with the theater he founded, and the Duisburg native only needs six bales of straw, a pair of wellies, two sunflowers and a pitchfork to bring the story to life for children.
