It is with great enthusiasm that the town of Balve announces the appointment of Saskia Runig as City Cycling Star 2024. The dynamic leader of the successful "Beckumer Biker" team will now represent the town of Balve.

As an enthusiastic cyclist, climate protector and physiotherapist, Saskia Runig embodies the central values of city cycling: community, friendship, environmental protection and health promotion. Her passion and commitment to this cause make her the ideal ambassador for the City Cycling Star.

From May 20, Saskia Runig will be swapping her car for a bike for three weeks. In her distinctive yellow jersey, she will not only cycle through Balve, but also actively promote participation in this year's city cycling event.
